Ceralink chooses projects with potential for commercial significance. We look for winning ideas with practical approaches because we are serious about commercialization.
Often, we begin research in a promising direction, sometimes in collaboration with a university or government laboratory, and then we select appropriate industrial partners. This cuts the risk to our clients and gives them a running start.
We are currently at work on:
Applications - We are helping to improve: structural
parts including automotive, compaction tooling, dental ceramics, microgears,
and ceramic armor; electrical parts
such as oxygen conductors, sensors, actuators, capacitors, voltage and
current regulators.
Materials - In our projects we work with zirconia, alumina,
zirconia toughened alumina (ZTA), ferrites, zinc oxide, lead zirconate
titanate (PZT), layer structure perovskites, barium titanate, silicon
nitride, titanium diboride, boron carbide, silicon carbide, tungsten
carbide, boron nitride, borosilicate glass, ceramic matrix composites,
metal matrix composites, powder metals, and precious metals.
Processes - The processes we are working on include developing:
high quality, low cost ZTA, high elastic modulus silicon nitride based
ceramic, silicon nitride composites, low cost methods for isostatic
pressing, pressure casting, gelation casting, high pressure microwave
sintering of nanoceramics, microwave sintering profiles of many materials,
including nanoceramics and rapid prototype
parts.
We have the experience and vision to pick the winners! We like to hear
from innovators and industry. Give
us a call to discuss projects or Ceralinking.
