Inexpensive Lab-scale
Microwave and Accessories
Ceralink forms a Joint Venture
In 2001, EPL Ceramics approached Ceralink with microwave technology
that they wanted to market. This included a low cost lab microwave
system, insulation and susceptors. Ceralink tested the system, and
found it to be a useful research tool. Ceralink and EPL established
a joint venture company, Research Microwave Systems (RMS) to make
this technology widely available.
Ceralink branded Research
Microwave Systems (RMS), the ThermWAVE (microwave system), and
Thermcepts (susceptors). We launched an RMS website, developed marketing
literature, and a product catalogue.
Ceralink is involved in the commercialization of microwave technologies. RMS addresses the need for an "off the shelf" lab-scale microwave. As researchers get more hands on experience, they are better able to access the advantages of microwaves. Microwaves will be used more and more in commercial applications.
